0 comments Posted by The Old Cinema at Thursday, January 19, 2012
The Old Cinema has been at the forefront of upcycled design for several years and this Spring some of the UK's top 'eco' designers will launch their latest products at the store. The exhibition will run from Thursday 15th to Sunday 25th March 2012, and will showcase the latest creations made from reclaimed materials. Ethical interiors and fashion have proven to be a massive trend among celebrities and designers, combining a unique style with environmental awareness. With very little time to get your Christmas gifts, The Old Cinema is your one stop shop for everyone on your list. Here's a few ideas to get you started. We have a fantastic range of mid-century glassware and vases, including vintage and retro pottery from West Germany, Italy and Scandanavia .
Our upcycled spoon rings come in a variety of sizes and designs, each one is completely unique!
Know someone who is still a kid at heart? This original 1940s American tricycle might get their wheels spinning!
How about a music enthusiast? This original 1960s Seeburg wall mounted jukebox upcycled into a lamp, paired with a 'love record' may be their hearts desire!
They'll be over the moon (or is that over Saturn?) with this original 1930s glass and chrome planet lamp.
What we all really want to do this Christmas is just kick back and relax, and what better place to do this than in the comfort of your own home in this vintage leather wingback armchair and matching ottoman. In other news, a new member of the OC team has decided to join us, no CV required! This little fox was found sleeping on one of our vintage trolley carts outside, and he has been there all day! We hope he stays a while! Warm milk and a blanket should persuade him xxx
