We're Hiring!

The Old Cinema is currently hiring for the role of Sales Supervisor. The position will be either 4 or 5 days a week. If you have a passion for all things antique, vintage and retro, and have had previous experience in a supervisory role, please see the Job Vacancy link below.

Good Luck!

Our container packed full of vintage industrial furniture, upcycled lighting, Coca-Cola memorabilia, globes, glassware and other curiosities has finally arrived from USA! The shop will be fully stocked for the weekend, with many other pieces trickling through the next few weeks after being restored, including a rare art deco steel desk/dressing table with matching seat, medical cabinets and plank top industrial trolleys.

See you this weekend!

There are some well known icons of design that have stood the test of time; the Eames chair by Charles and Ray Eames, the Barcelona chair by Mies VanDer Rohe, and the Egg chair by Arne Jacobsen. One name, however, often goes unnoticed and that is Eric Lyons. Although Eric was mostly known for his T2 housing developments for SPAN in the 1960's, it is his Tectra chair for Packet furniture which truly stands out. Designed and produced in the late 1940s, the Tectra chair is highly sought after, difficult to source, and extremely comfortable. Ours has been completely restored and looks fantastic. We hope you agree!
