As much as we would like to deny it, summer is officially over. The nights are drawing in and we turn to our lamps earlier everyday. Here at The Old Cinema we have a great selection of lighting in many different styles for those cosy nights ahead, including industrial, retro and upcycled. Each piece is sure to keep things bright in your favourite reading chair, desk or bedroom!

The upcycled lamps above are part of a unique collection including camera lamps, cricket bats, and many more courtesy of Guy Trench of Antiques by Design.

Below are two examples of classic French Jielde factory lamp. There are many reproductions of this lamp out there, but we only stock the originals...

Is your desk short on space? These industrial side-clamping lamps will
do the trick when you're burning the midnight oil.

If space-age retro is your thing, we have some rare examples that glow like the moon!

These more traditionally styled lamps from India add a bright flair with their colourful shades.

Any dark corners will soon be extinguished with these
fab heating lamps which have been upcycled into uplighters.

Our dome lights are a regular feature in the shop,
each one converted into a feature light with a vintage style cord
and 'squirrel cage' light bulb.

We just received a fantastic selection of these framed uncut cigarette and matchbox label sheets from Germany, Belgium and the United Kingdom. Labels include Rizla, Butlins, Panda, and many others. Sizes and prices vary. The majority of the prints are located on the first floor showroom, courtesy of Bird Vintage.

This very rare tambour filing cabinet arrived in the shop this afternoon.  It is a stunning example of vintage industrial furniture, by British firm Roneo who have been manufacturing office furniture since the 1910s and are still operating today. The quality of their pieces is unmatched. We have had numerous Roneo desks and cabinets over the years, each one a testament to their ability to combine beautiful aesthetics with a practical purpose.  View on our website
